Eligibility for Membership
The qualification for admission to membership of the First Rate Credit Union shall be being currently in receipt of a continuing and regular contractual payment arising from employment by BAE SYSTEMS (or its successors) in Great Britain so that in consequence thereof there shall be a common bond between all the members.
We need to inform members that family membership has been suspended for the time being. The Board of Directors will decide when to re-instate this in the future.
A retired employee of BAE SYSTEMS currently in receipt of a continuing and regular contractual payment (pension) by BAE SYSTEMS may become a member of the First Rate Credit Union.

Joining the Credit Union
If you are eligible to join you must first complete an application form which may either be downloaded from this website or obtained from our office.
In common with all other financial organisations we are obliged by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to obtain documentary proof of your identity and your current address. We would therefore ask that you produce one original document from each of the two categories listed below. Copies cannot be accepted. These can either by posted with your application form or produced in person at our office.

What if I don't have any documents I can use?
There are additional procedures in place to help potential members who cannot provide the preferred documents. You can talk to a member of staff about the sorts of documents you can produce. If you are unsure please contact the office.
