Don't wait 'til it's too late

Saturday saw one of the worst downpours in my area for a long time and it taught me something.

It taught me that the flat roof on my kitchen extension is leaking.

Luckily it has happened early enough for me to get something done about it before the cold and rain of the autumn and winter sets in.

If you need things checking, repairing or replacing before the winter sets in, don't wait 'til it's too late. You really don't want to find out that your heating isn't working when it's freezing outside. Trying to get a new boiler fitted in the cold winter weather is no mean feat.

You don't want to be wasting money on your heating bills because you haven't had your insulation fitted.

You don't want to find out your roof is leaking in the mid-winter when getting it fixed is going to be hell.

So if you haven't done these things already, do them now. Try out your boiler, test the heating, get your roof checked out, have that home insulation fitted.
